I know many runners still avoid the weight room and prefer to use body weight exercises. The items I've shown here may enhance your workout effort to improve balance, flexibility and speed.
Let's look at the small bands in yellow, green, black and blue. The colors equal different strength levels of the bands. When used in conjunction with your body weight drills, these can help you improve flexibility and strength. Some of my favorites are the monster walk, lateral shuffles and calf raises.
The two larger black bands with or without handles will help you strengthen and stretch larger muscles such as shoulders and hamstrings. When used to create resistance these tools can help you improve your speed.
The mini hurdles at the top and bottom should always be used for speed and balance. If you have any running flaws at all I would suggest using a set of mini hurdles. Start by using ten to twelve hurdles spaced 1.9 meters apart. Sprint through these 5-6 times a day. You'll get faster and eliminate negative flaws in your running motion.
