When starting a new running program, or returning to one after a layoff, it can pay big dividends to focus some time on your running form. To do this, have someone observe a training session who can communicate what your form looks like, or have them take some video of your effort. Sometimes it can be as simple as being made aware of what bad habits you have incurred over time. Others need a more focused effort through core strength, improving your balance, or posture. In the long run you may run faster and head off any lurking injuries before they occur.
