Who or what influences your coaching?
I am a firm believer in individualized coaching. Over the past 30 years, I have drawn inspiration from Arthur Lydiard, Lyn Jennings, and experience with my own running and generations of athletes.
How hands-on of a coach are you?
My goal is to be available as needed, without hovering. I want to treat each athlete as an individual and determine what will work best for you, as opposed to using the same approach with everyone.
What benchmarks will you use to track my progress?
Progress will be based on the individual's goals and will be assessed at the end of each month. Races or specific workouts will be the majority of my athlete's "progress reports."
Will you provide strength training?
Yes, I am a firm believer that an athlete must arrive to the starting line strong and healthy in order to achieve his or her goals. Strength plays an important role in my training plans.
Can I send you video?
Yes! Doing so would help me analyze your stride and recommend a more individualized strength program and running plan.
Will you watch me race?
When feasible, I can travel to races to help guide you or assess your current level of fitness.
How do we begin?
First, send me an email and I will provide you with a list of questions so that I can get a better idea of your needs. Then I will provide you with a month-by-month individualized training plan, and from there you are free to contact me as often as you need so that you are best prepared for your goals. At the end of each month, we will assess your progress.
